Sarita Maybin is an award-winning professional speaker whose audiences have fun learning how to stay positive, deal with tough communication situations and work together better.
Growing up as an "Army brat," Sarita lived in many places, including 9 years in Germany. Moving frequently, she discovered the importance of adapting, staying positive and "playing nicely."
After earning a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Maryland, College Park, Sarita pursued a career in University Administration. Over 13 years she held positions at four state universities.
Making a career change in 1993, Sarita became a full time professional speaker. She has spoken at companies and conferences in 47 states, Canada, England, Asia, Mexico and Iceland. Her high-energy keynote speeches and workshops help audiences have fun while learning how to stay positive, constructively confront tough communication situations and work together better. Her clients include NASA, Nokia, Hewlett Packard, Kaiser Permanente, WD-40 and the Las Vegas Convention Center among others.
Sarita is a Toastmasters Humorous Speech Contest winner, a Past President of the National Speakers Association, San Diego Chapter and has been interviewed on local Fox News, ABC News and the Tavis Smiley Show regarding her book -- If You Can't Say Something Nice, What DO You Say?
