2008 MWI Golf Outing Recap
With the weather cooperating and a record attendance this year, the 2008 Management Women golf outing was deemed a great success. After a buffet lunch served in the banquet room at Thornberry Creek, over fifty women enjoyed nine holes of golf in a scramble format. After golf, appetizers were served on the patio and prizes were awarded for the following hole events:
Longest drive - Pam Hopps
Shortest drive - Mary Rose Orcutt
Longest putt - Dottie Stepien
Closest to pin - Gina Evans
A special note of thanks goes out to Karen Monfre for organizing and facilitating yet another successful golf event for our growing group of golfers. Thank you also to all those who donated door prizes.

Strategic Planning Committee
Chair: Jennifer Steffen, 592-3646 or steffenj@schneider.com
The Strategic Planning Committee ensures that the direction of the organization is meeting the needs of its members and that the bylaws are being followed. Meetings are generally held two to three times per year and any outcomes or recommendations are forwarded to the respective committees for their consideration and implementation.
The first meeting will be scheduled soon to review the annual survey results. Subsequent meetings will focus on analysis of the current state and desired future state of the organization. In the past we have utilized the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) Analysis, but are open to other tools. If you have experience or interest in this area and you care about the continued development of Management Women, I encourage you to join our committee. Our final meeting of the board year will center on updating the annual survey. It won't take much of a time commitment, but getting involved will greatly impact our organization.
