About the speaker: Renee is a Green Bay native; her father was in Law Enforcement and her mother held various roles in the banking field throughout her career. Renee's parents encouraged volunteering at a young age. The GBPD would hold picnics in at risk neighborhoods to bridge the gap between families and law enforcement. Renee would help at these events; performing face painting and engaging with the children. Renee and her mother also volunteered at the NEW Community shelter, serving food through the church. Renee had a successful career in transportation from 2001-2016, but felt she was missing something and had a desire to serve people in her community. While working as a stay at home mom, Renee received a call from a previous coworker looking for help coordinating bell ringing for the Salvation Army's Christmas Campaign. Renee is currently the Special Events Coordinator for the Salvation Army & says she has found her calling.
